The Her Voice program empowers women in the WHC community to share their stories as a means of driving awareness, challenging stigma, and influencing change. WHC believes that amplifying women’s voices is essential to achieving equality and plays a crucial role in building both personal empowerment and community understanding.
Over five weeks, a select group of WHC tenants worked with our Patron, the Hon. Ros Kelly AO, and Dr Attracta Lagan to transform their lived experiences into compelling narratives. Participants developed the skills and confidence to speak about their journeys in ways that not only inspire and empower themselves but also contribute to broader advocacy efforts resulting in shaping conversations about housing insecurity, domestic violence, and women’s rights.
Following its success in 2025, WHC hopes to offer Her Voice again in 2026, creating more opportunities for women in our community to become powerful advocates for change.
