Womens Housing Company is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to deliver smoke alarm installation, testing, maintenance, and compliance services across part of our NSW property portfolio. As our organisation is committed to meeting all safety and regulatory obligations, contractors must ensure that all services are performed in alignment with the most current NSW fire safety and smoke alarm legislation, including any updated compliance and maintenance requirements now in effect.

This includes maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and audit‑ready records that satisfy all current NSW regulatory expectations for smoke alarms and essential fire safety measures. NSW has recently strengthened fire safety compliance requirements, including updated expectations around maintenance, inspection routines, and verification of essential fire safety systems.

We require a service partner who is proactive in staying up to date with evolving NSW compliance obligations and can support our organisation through accurate reporting, strong communication, and dependable service delivery.

Contractor Responsibilities

The successful contractor will be responsible for:

  • Installing, servicing, testing, and replacing smoke alarms as required
  • Ensuring all alarms and maintenance activities comply with current NSW legislative requirements
  • Maintaining clear, accurate, and compliant records and reports
  • Providing timely communication with residents and property managers
  • Holding appropriate licences, qualifications, and insurances
  • Upholding rigorous safety and quality assurance standards
