Caledonian Society’s St Andrew’s Day Dinner Raises Funds for Women Rebuilding Lives

The inaugural St Andrew’s Day Dinner and Ceilidh, hosted by The Caledonian Society at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney, spotlighted the urgent need for housing and support for women and children escaping homelessness, domestic and family violence, and housing insecurity.

As the charity partner for the event, Women’s Housing Company will direct funds raised through the evening’s auction and raffle to programs that help women rebuild their lives and provide safe housing and practical support to regain confidence and reconnect with community.

During the event, Libby Caskey shared real stories of women experiencing homelessness, reinforcing that this issue is not abstract. It affects women who could easily be our friends, colleagues, or family members. A safe home is the beginning, not the end, of the journey.

This partnership signals growing community engagement in addressing housing insecurity and sets the stage for further conversations as we approach International Women’s Day.
