Celebrating 40 Years of Service

This is a very special year for the Women’s Housing Company as we mark our 40 Years of Service, providing housing and homelessness support services to women and their children. Established 4 decades ago to respond to the needs of single homeless women in inner Sydney, today we are the largest women’s housing organisation in Australia. Many have contributed to this success and we thank everyone who has been part of this journey. We have a housing portfolio of almost 1,100 properties, two Specialist Homelessness Services, and deliver programs to support women who have experienced homelessness. There is a lot to celebrate and we’ll have more information in the coming months. And so much more to do. The housing affordability crisis in Australia and the rates of domestic and family violence continue to take a toll on women’s safety, security and wellbeing.
