Welcoming Our New Chair – Carmen Osborne

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Carmen Osborne as the new Chair of the Women’s Housing Company Limited Board of Directors.

Carmen brings with her over 35 years of experience in planning and property development, with a strong track record in leading complex master planning, rezoning, and development approval processes across a diverse range of projects.

Carmen is passionate about innovative housing models, with a particular focus on housing for women, seniors, and specialist disability accommodation. Her role on the Independent Living Villages Board further reflects her commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable communities.

In preparation for this transition, Carmen has spent the past six months working closely with outgoing Chair Alice Spizzo, gradually assuming Chair responsibilities as part of a structured handover plan. This thoughtful transition ensures continuity and stability in our leadership – passing the baton from one inspiring leader to another.

We look forward to continuing the strong governance and strategic direction of our organisation with Carmen at the helm.
