Brighter Futures Program

Thank you for your interest in the WHC Brighter Futures Program!

This scholarship supports Women’s Housing Company children in continuing or commencing participation in extra-curricular activities or accessing tools needed to excel in their schooling.

Applicants can apply for the following:

  • Laptop
  • School sporting equipment or lessons (one term only)
  • School equipment
  • School excursion
  • Tutoring

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a current household member of a WHC property
  • Have been a tenant of the WHC for at least three months
  • Not be in rent, water or other arrears with the WHC at any point during the application process of more than four weeks.
  • Agree that the scholarship will be paid directly to the registered education, training, sporting, or performing arts institution.

Applications must not use Chat GPT and must provide evidence of why the scholarship funding for the specific items or support will benefit the child’s learning and development.

Primary School - up to
$500

High School - up to
$750
