Board Opportunity: Director – Women’s Housing Company

Are you passionate about housing justice and creating safe futures for women? The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) is seeking new Board Directors to help guide its strategic direction and growth.

WHC provides crisis, transitional, social, and affordable housing to women across Sydney, the Hunter, and Coffs Harbour. As a Director, you will play a vital role in:

  • Contributing to ethical governance and policy oversight
  • Shaping strategic direction for a purpose-driven organisation
  • Supporting women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and housing insecurity

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with:

  • Board experience and governance qualifications (e.g. GAICD)
  • Expertise in areas such as property development, HR, fundraising, housing, finance, or government policy
  • A strong alignment with WHC’s mission and values

Role Details

  • Volunteer position
  • Bi-monthly meetings in Sydney
  • Committee involvement throughout the year
