Women’s Housing Company Annual General Meeting 2023

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 22 November at the Redfern Community Centre. Around 100 guests attended to participate in the formal AGM business and to listen to our guest speaker, Grace Tame – Australian of the Year (2021), advocate for survivors of child sexual assault and a leader of positive change. Grace shared her story and passionately spoke about her current work through her Foundation and other advocacy channels to change systems and laws in Australia. There were questions from the audience and Grace focused on ‘how to keep going when the work is hard’ and ‘how to look after each other when doing hard work’. Lunch was catered by Two Good – caterers with a strong social purpose – and provided an excellent opportunity for guests to mingle and catch-up. That’s a wrap for 2023 in terms of the AGM!
