DEBBIE

DEBBIE GEORGOPOULOS - CHIEF EXCUTIVE OFFICER

Debbie joined the Women’s Housing Company in April 2017 and is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the organisation to develop, deliver, expand and continuously improve services. Debbie brings over two decades of public policy and program experience from government and non-government organisations, including senior roles in the NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) and Mission Australia. Whilst at FACS, she held roles responsible for Housing Pathways, Future Directions for Social Housing, and Community Regeneration.

Debbie is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an Executive Master of Public Administration, a Master of Arts (Social Policy) and a Bachelor of Arts (English). She is also a Churchill Fellow, having completed a fellowship on international approaches to managing social housing demand in 2015.

 

Erna

ERNA CAMERON - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER/COMPANY SECRETARY

Erna joined the Women’s Housing Company in October 2010 as the Chief Financial Officer and was appointed to the role of Company Secretary in August 2011. She is responsible for financial management, reporting, company secretarial and other control functions.

Erna has over 20 years’ experience across a range of industries including community housing, financial services, aged care, construction materials and chartered accounting. She has particular expertise in project management and IT systems implementation and strong capabilities in the areas of risk management, financial modelling and strategic planning. Having held various senior management positions in an organisation that evolved from a medium sized private company into a listed organisation, she is cognisant of the challenges involved in corporate growth and change management.

Erna holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant (CA).

 

Kylie

KYLIE LINDSAY - HOUSING SERVICES MANAGER

Kylie joined the Women's Housing Company in January 2017 as the Housing Services Manager. She is responsible for managing overall Housing Services which includes access and allocations, community development and tenancy management on behalf of the organisation.

Kylie has extensive experience in senior management and project management roles across a variety of industries including financial services, retail and real estate. She has 7 years' experience in the not-for-profit sector, predominantly managing Community Housing operations.

In her previous role at Wesley Mission, Kylie established and managed the Community Housing operation, and was responsible for all tenancy and property management activities. Kylie played a key strategic planning role, developing new policies and procedures, attaining and maintaining registration as a Tier 2 Community Housing Provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing and facilitating the planning, procurement and implementation of a new software system.

Kylie has a Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of Technology in Sydney.

LINDY RYAN - ACTING SENIOR ASSET MANAGER

Lindy joined Women’s Housing Company in September 2017 as Acting Senior Asset Manager. Lindy is responsible for leading the Asset Team in the delivery of the Asset Program across Women’s Housing Company.

Lindy brings 25 years of Senior Management experience in NSW Land and Housing’s asset area. Her Program Management experience includes delivery of Community Renewal programs on large housing estates, Minto redevelopment program, Ageing Disability and Home Care's state wide group home construction program and the development of a range of community facilities such as Aboriginal Child and Family Centres across NSW.

Lindy is an established Program Manager with a focus on delivering innovative construction /asset programs and associated support programs in the community sector. She has expertise in developing and delivering complex projects, often life changing, with multiple stakeholders in environments such as those currently experienced by the disability sector. Lindy brings a commitment to working with organisations and partners to build the capacity of the industry to strategically address new and varying accommodation initiatives.

Lindy holds a Masters in Social work from the University of NSW.  

 

DEBRA

DEBRA VENABLES – MANAGER WOMEN’S HOMELESSNESS SUPPORT SERVICE

Debra joined the Women's Housing Company in October 2014 to establish the Specialist Homelessness Support Service in South West Sydney.  Debra is responsible for the provision of case management services to women accessing crisis and supported transitional accommodation, and the day-to-day management of the residential crisis service.  She is instrumental in developing collaborative working relationships with government and non-government agencies to deliver outcomes for homeless clients. 

Debra has extensive experience in all aspects of operational management, service delivery and governance in women's specialist homelessness services.   For over a decade, Debra has managed the provision of supported housing and outreach services for vulnerable women and children in the community, particularly those with a history of homelessness, domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental illness.

Debra holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Master of Policy Studies and a Diploma of Management.
